Brock Hobbled And Limped Into the Office…..And Drove Back to Houston a NEW MAN!
26-year old Brock Shepard is what we call our "Miracle Man" here at Lifestyle Chiropractic. Brock came to see us back in April on the recommendation of a former patient who had travelled from Houston to see us.
Brock had been a college football star and played "all out"…meaning he had had many, many injuries and impacts to his body. He had also hurt his back lifting weights.
He began to develop debilitating back pain in his early 20’s and was told by his doctors that he had two bulging discs at L4 and L5, so in 2005 he underwent a surgical laminectomy. A year later he was still in pain and began a series of injections to the lower back. He then began to suffer with tremendous hip pain and he subsequently underwent hip surgery in 2008.
Fast-forward to the present: Brock was a handsome, strapping young guy who was living on pain pills and hope. He walked into our clinic on April 2nd with a shuffling gait, in constant pain and an inability to "walk normally". He was at his wits end and really didn’t think or believe that we would be able to help him. Here’s what he wrote to us a week after his first treatment:
"I heard about Lifestyle Chiropractic from my boss in Houston. I was VERY skeptical. I’ve seen other chiropractors and they were the ones who ended up referring me to my hip surgeon. I really didn’t think they’d be able to help me, either, and I was resigned to the fact that I was going to have to have my hip replaced. I could hardly sit at work, couldn’t play any sports or work out, and couldn’t even play with my little daughter, which really bothered me.

Jade’s Story: She’s BACK in the game of life!
Precious Jade is someone who’s been a loving part of our lives here at Lifestyle Chiropractic. When Jade first came to see us, she was a sad little girl, withdrawn, and in constant agony. Here is her story, written by her Mom, Nina Cuevas:
"Our daughter, Jade, suffered with severe eczema, asthma and numerous food allergies for about 8 years. We were constantly in and out of doctor’s offices. We were being prescribed steroids, creams, nasal sprays, inhalers and antihistamines. However, after years of medications, it was becoming apparent that her condition was getting worse.
Her skin was severely dry, rough, red, blotchy and inflamed. Worst of all, she had unbearable itchiness all over her body. It was so bad that she couldn’t control her scratching. The scratching would break the skin leaving horrible marks and infections. This began to take a toll on her both physically and emotionally. She was becoming increasingly embarrassed by her skin, especially when other kids asked if it was contagious.
With the constant itchiness, she was unable to sleep, which left her very tired. It would get so bad that she’d cry herself to sleep on a frequent basis. As her mother, it took everything in me not to break down in front of her. My husband and I were constantly trying to comfort and assure her that one day we would find an answer to her problem. Believe me when I say that eczema brings you to your knees. You begin to feel hopeless, angry, frustrated and desperate. It’s incredibly heartbreaking to watch your child suffer and not be able to help. Not only was Jade feeling miserable, but we also noticed that she was becoming withdrawn.
During the day, her medications made her dizzy and sleepy. The side effects began to affect her schoolwork and her attendance. She wasn’t able to concentrate. After sharing this with the doctor(s), they prescribed a sedative—yet another medication! We didn’t agree with this.
Then, after an aggressive round of medications that landed her in the emergency room, we became very angry and decided to look for an alternative treatment. In desperation, we tried several different things, but nothing seemed to help.
We began to pray for an answer and a miracle. Then after much prayer, we came upon a website on NAET in treating eczema. We had never heard of such a thing and it sounded "weird". We were very skeptical, but after more consideration and reading about some of the amazing results, we decided that Jade had nothing to lose.
She was excited because it sounded easy compared to her other treatments! So we desperately started searching in San Antonio for someone that was NAET-certified. This is how we came upon our daughter’s life-savers at Lifestyle Chiropractic.
After several NAET and NMT treatments, we began to see a CHANGE!

My favorite experience with Lifestyle Chiropractic was just after I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. I returned to my doctor to tell him I would no longer be taking the medication (which had been making me hyper and causing my heart to race). My allergies showed up when I was about 9. I noticed when I was around cats and certain flowers I would sneeze uncontrollably and go through boxes of Kleenex. When I was 25 years old, I had a severe allergic reaction to aspirin that hospitalized me for 8 days. That is when I began having heart trouble and numerous other health issues. Since the aspirin-allergy discovery, I became allergic to even more foods, plants, animals and medicines. I felt like I was becoming allergic to everything!

For months I was nauseated and throwing up everything I ate. It affected my job because I was a consumer loans representative for a major Bank and Insurance Company and I was literally taking phone calls and pressing mute to throw up. Someone would tell my manager or my manager would see me and send me to the nurse and the nurse would send me home, which caused me to miss work. It was emotionally and physically draining on me, my husband and my job. Eventually I had to quit.
I went to a few doctors and they were unable to figure out what was causing the nausea and vomiting. I visited a gastroenterologist and I had an Upper GI Endoscopy procedure done. The Doctor said he found bacteria in my stomach called H Pylori. I was so excited because I thought we finally figured out what was wrong with me. I took some medication to get rid of the bacteria and to my disappointment it did not help my situation at all. My husband David was so distressed about my health he decided to talk to his family about it!
His father mentioned a doctor that he was seeing and how the treatments he was receiving were helping him feel so much better. At first my husband and I were skeptical but interested so I decided to pay a visit to Lifestyle Chiropractic. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming but I had never heard of these kinds of treatments before. For most of my life I have had a severe sinus condition that just never quit. Eight years ago I read an article on NCR treatment and I thought, let’s see what it’s all about. My name is Susan. I have followed Dr. Odmark & Dr. Sherson through 3 offices over the past 9 years. The current Lifestyle Chiropractic is by far the best as it has a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere, lots of space for treatment or consultations and plenty of parking. We are always welcomed with a warm greeting and ready smile. Dr. Gloar is a very special and welcome addition to their professional team.
My first introduction to chiropractic was through a subluxation study. I was approached with a phone call about the study. I figured “why not?” as I suffered from chronic neck pain and debilitating migraines sense I was in the 4th grade. When my initial x-rays showed I did indeed have a subluxation and misalignment in the cervical spine, I became a patient of Dr. Odmark’s. In the beginning I was adjusted 3-times-a-week. Not only did my pain decrease, but I also achieved a wonderful since of well-being.
A series of 3 NCR treatments eliminated the band of tightness that always encircled my head. This relieved the number of the pressure headaches that plagued me several times a week.
I have also received a series of NAET treatments for allergies. Now when my co-workers suffer and complain of allergies, I can sympathize but I don’t share their misery. Several years ago, I was diagnosed with bi-lateral carpal tunnel syndrome. My hands would go numb and tingle multiple times each day. I did the typical bracing and injections with little improvement. Dr. Odmark started adjusting my writs whenever I complained of numbness or pain. I credit my recovery and avoidance of surgery to those regular adjustments and magnetic therapy. I continue to do the daily handwork and crafting that I love. Of course, I still have to do typing and computer inputting at my job.
A year ago I suffered a severe and prolonged bout of shingles on my forehead. It left me with severe migraines starting between midnight and 2am on a daily basis. I was prescribed Neuroutin for 6 months to a year or maybe forever. Neurontin at 300 mgs controlled the migraines until about 3 months ago. Then, they broke through again and for several weeks I’d awake daily with a migraine. I tried NMT and just one treatment stopped the headaches. I was amazed and am now attempting to wean off Neurontin.
In the future I plan to remain a regular and faithful patient of the three docs at Lifestyle Chiropractic. ~Susan

In July of 1993 I suddenly became very ill with flu-like symptoms and extreme exhaustion. A week later I developed a terrible pain on the bottom of my right foot that was so bad, that it felt like I was walking on a very large rock. That was the end of my life as I knew it.
I spent many years seeing medical doctors and spent thousands of dollars only to get worse instead of better. I became totally dependent on my family and could no longer do everyday activities. At my worst I even needed assistance to get up from a chair. I also lost my ability to walk without assistance. Medical doctors said they could do nothing for me except keep increasing my medications. I was up to seven different medications a day and in severe pain when I said there must be something else because what I was doing was just not helping at all. I began doing water fasts for up to 15 days at a time, and was able to get off all my medicine. I began to feel better instead of worse, but I was far from being well.
In 2004, Simone, Dr. Odmark's daughter and mother of one of my former student's, suggested I make an appointment with Lifestyle Chiropractic. I felt I had nothing to lose at this point. I began by having 25 Jaffe-Mellor treatments for rheumatoid arthritis. My husband had to go to every appointment with me because I was so weak and could no longer walk independently. I started to feel better. I then had NAET for food allergies and was surprised how much better I was feeling. I was regaining my strength, so I decided to have two knee replacements. I was now able to walk independently again without any pain. I gradually was able to care for myself without any assistance. I also had NeuroLink, as well as chiropractic care with Dr.
Odmark.
At this time I am not taking any medicine and feel better than I have in years! I baby-sit my active three-year-old granddaughter everyday, can do all activities--except mow the yard-- HAHA. I recently went on a three-day trip alone to visit my sister and that is a miracle. In 1997 I started feeling bad. I went to see a doctor, told him how I was feeling. So, he said, lets run some tests, so we did, we tested my whole body, nothing was found.
I found myself in the hospital about once a month, never was a thing found to be wrong. So I went on feeling bad, badder and baddest. So I started taking all kinds of stuff on my own. That did not work either, so I got weaker, so weak that I could not walk up steps with out some help.

I first met Dr. Odmark when he was building his first office on Thousand Oaks in San Antonio. I came to Lifestyle Chiropractic based on the recommendation from a friend who was already a patient. She explained to me that Lifestyle also offered alternative medical treatments, but I really didn't have a clue as to what that would ultimately mean for me.
My first treatment experience was standard chiropractic. My spine was very out of alignment and was causing significant problems, among them headaches, joint pain, and other aches. The relief that I have experienced is amazing. But, it didn't stop there.
After reading through my notebook of information, I realized the wealth of help that was available. Several of the procedures struck a chord and I decided to shift my thinking to alternative health care. The body is an amazing thing - Dr. Odmark's NMT work with the autonomic control system helped put my body in charge of itself.. We do have the power to heal ourselves. Sometimes we just need help to get the energy flow working at optimal levels.

The physical part, NFT, worked like gangbusters on my fear of steep steps and being in swimming pools. After a few sessions, Dr. Odmark asked me to go to a pool and actually let go of the side of the pool plus take my feet off the pool bottom. Before the NFT, I would have told him "you're nuts! no way!" But, after the NFT, I did it!
The Emotional Mastery portion with Dr. Sherson on energy, vibration, positive thoughts, and the stream of well being ... didn't take me long to realize that this way of thinking is my way of thinking. These sessions were a part of my experiences in finding my own authentic path, both emotionally and spiritually.
I am now definitely an advocate of energy medicine and alternative healing modalities. The doctors and the entire staff at Lifestyle are really "into" the concepts of natural medicine and patient care. To me, it seems that their goal is healing and wholeness on all levels. That's so much better than long term dependence on shots and pills.

My name is Brian. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Odmark’s for approximately 8 years. I have been treated with NAET, NMT, NCR and maintenance chiropractic adjustments. Before I started with Dr. Odmark, if anyone asked me how I was I’d complain bitterly that I hurt and was stiff. I was a very negative and generally miserable person. Over the years, my attitude and outlook on life has definitely improved as I began to feel better.
My most significant improvement has been with NAET. Before treatments, I suffered from chronic, year-round nasal congestion due to allergies. I would soak approximately 4 handkerchiefs a day. That’s 28 a week!
NAET treatments determined that I was highly allergic to many foods, environmental substances and also to some of my medications. As I went through NAET, I noticed gradual improvement. At the end of my treatments, I was only using 1-2 handkerchiefs a week. Now, approximately 2 years later, I am still enjoying significant improvement. This has definitely improved my outlook on life.
NMT, NCR and regular adjustments have decreased the number and intensity of my headaches. Also, my multiple body aches are no longer there. I am now much happier when I come in and greet my special friends at Lifestyle Chiropractic.~Brian

Chiropractic has changed my life in so many ways, I don't even know where to begin. I was one of the biggest skeptics regarding chiropractic.
I drove up to Dr. Odmark's office for an interview to become an assistant, not knowing is was a Chiropractic office when I set the appointment. When I drove up to the office, I sat in the parking lot for a full 5 minutes trying to decide if I should go in or not.
You see, I thought there was something wrong with Chiropractors. I went in, got the job and then was told I had to become a patient. You have to experience care to be able to explain it to others. Dr. Odmark did my evaluation and just smiled and nodded when I told him I was basically healthy( which in my mind I was). As he pulled information out of me about my health, I realized I was taking sinus medicine daily for headaches, I had had way too many infections in the past few years. I had forgotten all the episodes of bronchitis and pneumonia I had as a child, not to mention the digestive issues I was developing due to stress.
I started care 17 years ago and can honestly say I am more healthy in my 40's than I was in my 20's. I haven't had a sinus infection since the early 1990's. My allergies are so much better, I almost never have a headache and I can digest just about anything. I have become one of those people who use chiropractic as my main form of health care. I have been to a mainstream doctor twice in the last 10 years. Dr Odmark has been able to handle everything else.
Not only did Chiropractic change my health for the better, it gave me an opening for a positive way of life. My vertigo was ruining my life.I had been experiencing dizziness so severely at times, that I would have to sit down to keep from FALLING down. At times when I would get up and try to walk straight ahead, I would lurch off to the left with absolutely no control, bumping into whatever was near me. This happened so much that my husband started teasing me about "having one too many!" It really wasn't very funny, though.
I was having a lot of trouble sleeping, too. Whenever I would lie down the room would spin around until I felt nauseous and sick. I was afraid to go out and do my "normal things" (I'm a very active person) because I never knew when I would suddenly fall or have a dizzy spell. It was very unnerving.
I checked with my M.D. and he put me through an MRI and I had a CAT scan done. The outcome was, "Sorry, you'll just have to live with your condition," and I was offered medication. Thank God Dr. Odmark had different ideas and suggested that I try the NCR.
I decided to follow Dr. Odmark's advice and have a sequence of four NCR treatments. After treatment #1, I was walking straighter, only veering slightly to the left, but I felt exhausted. After the whole sequence was completed, I was feeling greatly improved, almost all of the dizziness was gone, and I was actually SLEEPING again! My body continued to change over the next two weeks until all trace of the vertigo was gone.
I'm happy to report I am still free of all dizzy spells as of December 2007 and I am one happy lady! I see so many people my age (I'm in my 60's) starting to have problems that just seem to pop up out of nowhere and then they get on the medication "merry-go-round." My Success Story
My Name is Eudora, aka "B" and I am a 71 year old with severe arthritis.
I am all smiles now, but in October of 2007, there were no smiles. Only pain and suffering. Excruciating constant pain, day and night, with occasional shooting pains through my joints. My experience has made me want to shout from the rooftops how great this experience has been for me. But, short of that, I hope that what I have to say will convince someone to try Lifestyle Chiropractic and change their life.
My problems actually started in March,1997 after having a thyroid gland radioactively removed, and I was under-medicated for nearly 2 years. This caused a condition called Myxedema, another name for Arthritis, along with a lot of other symptoms. At that time I was barely able to walk and used crutches or a cane. My shoulders were so painful I had to stop carrying all shoulder bags. After my Synthroid medications were increased, my symptoms dissipated gradually over the next nine months.
These same symptoms came back with a vengeance in 2007, with the same things happening all over again. I was hoping the increase in medication would help me again. Well, not this time.
I was literally becoming an invalid. My life was just from a chair to the sofa with a blanket covering my aching knees, shoulders and back, and taking numerous pain pills. My doctors prescribed Ibuprophen, Ultram, and Tylenol, and I was allowed to take Motrin as well. They were to be taken simultaneously "as needed" for pain, and I was living on the maximum that I could take, plus using pain patches and EMU oils and Icy Hot being bought every week. To make matters worse, my feet and legs were swelling so badly that I was then prescribed anti-embolism stockings and given a handicapped parking sticker. I couldn't lift my left arm above my head, making it difficult to comb my hair. In August 2007, lab tests revealed damage to my kidneys from the Ibuprophen and Motrin and I was taken off all Ibuprophen (Nsaids) type medicines, and put on only Ultram and Tylenol. Life was getting more and more miserable and depressing. I felt that if this was to be my life, then life was just not worth living.
No one except my husband knew the effects this was having on my life. I couldn't do any of my regular activities. No walking, housework, cooking, shopping and exercise was out of the question. I felt so guilty because my husband had to take over everything. Driving myself anywhere was impossible, because I didn't know when my feet and legs would just give out on me. That was the last straw. I couldn't do anything for or by myself.
My problems were not improving, so my doctor had x-rays taken and found displaced disks in my back and neck and no cartilage in my knees, so she gave me a consult to see an orthopedic surgeon. I didn't want surgery on this old body. It has gotten too old, and I was afraid. That was too much of a risk and may have made things worse as far as I was concerned.
My beautiful - inside and out, wonderful daughter asked me if I would like to attend a seminar with this doctor she had been telling me about. I don't know why I decided to go, but am I ever glad that I did. It was the best decision I could have made. She took me to my first appointment at Lifestyle Chiropractic. There was no apprehension and I had no expectations at that time. I knew that there were many improvements in her life, so I trusted that the same could be true for me.
The doctors and the staff at Lifestyle Chiropractic always present a warm and friendly atmosphere that is felt from the very first day. If you don't feel it, within minutes an adorable and delightful young lady named Lissa will make you feel it. Debbie smiles quietly and gathers your information, and Dr Sherson will caringly diagnose your problems and guide you quickly and efficiently through each procedure. Before you know it you are on the way to a body and life-changing experience. You will find genuinely caring people in this office. When Dr Gloar did my re-exams and saw the improvements that she and Dr Odmark had accomplished, she gave me a big smile and a hug.
Your body will respond immediately. I noticed a change within my second week. By two and a half weeks, my children started to notice. My oldest son said, "Mom, you're walking better." I told him yes, and that I was also feeling much less pain. By then, I was taking less pain medicine. Then one day, the legs started to pain again. When I went in, I told Dr. Odmark about the pain. He said "I'll fix that." He gave me my treatment, and asked me to walk across the room. I was half way across the room before I noticed that there was absolutely No Pain. I walked out of that office in awe. Then I had problems with my right shoulder and though I didn't have the same experience, (this was a misaligned tendon) it was better after about 3 treatments. I came out of that office with both arms outstretched, and the biggest smile in my life lighting up my face. It has been that way every time I get a treatment. I am down to 1 Ultram a day, taken only as a security blanket, but am discontinuing even that. I have had no pain medications for the past 4 days.
I used to hate going to my doctor because nothing ever changed. I was being issued pill after pill and nothing was ever improving. As a matter of fact, every time I went in my blood pressure went sky high. I know it was because I didn't want to be there. Now, coming to Lifestyle Chiropractic, I have nothing but a smile going in and a smile coming out. Can't wait for those adjustments for my body. I know they mean that my life is only going to get better and better. And the always beautiful smiles and "good mornings" from the staff, and the "we can fix that" just enhances that feeling.
I have to say thank you to all of the doctors and staff at Lifestyle Chiropractic. My experience has made a believer of me and my husband. He sat through and watched some of my treatments, and is anxiously awaiting his treatments starting this week. You see, he had orthopedic surgery, and it only lasted a little while. In the years following my back surgery, I experienced the frustration of seeking more adequate medical treatment to relieve the tremendous pain and discomfort t I was having in my back and sciatic nerve area.
Like many others I had tried various shots that brought temporary relief but then I was back to square one.
I have undergone various therapies to help my body so that I could function normally in my various roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a friend to many as well as to myself. But I continued to be hampered by the sever misalignments in my spine.

The negative condition of my body did not get that way overnight and nor has the realignment of my body but the important thing, is…my treatment is working!
I am now able to function in ways that were impossible before, and whatever pain and discomfort there had been is now very minimal, if at all. It has been our privilege to be in conversation with others to share this wonderful news so that they, too, may explore the possibility of a healthy restoration of life!

The only thing is, with the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly "Hi," from Lissa, the counsel and healing touch of Drs. Dean, Jeanne, and Carol and the needed services of Debbie and Simone, everyone wants to be nice so we don’t have to leave until it is time after our treatments! I am in my late 60's and have been healthy most of my life. I've had no surgeries, just the usual yearly cedar fever and lately stiff joints and muscle aches.
In Oct. of 2006 I developed a chronic sciatic pain starting at my waist on the right side of my hip going down my right leg and into my right heel. I went to a Chiropractor, a Podiatrist, and a Neurologist. I was told I had neuropathy and plantar fascitis while I continued in constant pain.
Dec 2006 a friend of mine told me that she knew of a Doctor that could probably help me. She said, "Once you go to this Chiropractor you will never go back to the other one, because he is so gentle and he doesn't pop your neck or pull on you" Jan 2007 I decided I would check it out, so my husband and I dropped into the office one afternoon at Starcrest. We met two very friendly faces that day: Debbie Walters and Simone Bernal, who answered all our questions and assured us that I could be helped, so we set up an appointment.
I began my treatments 3 times a week. The office was so warm and friendly with hot coffee and tea and soft music to relax you. It was easy to go in and greet cheerful Lissa Whittenton who is always ready and willing to help you in any way she can, especially with your appointments. After 3 weeks of treatments I was out of pain and so excited to be feeling better! After 6 weeks I really knew I could count on being normal again so, I continued with maintenance and looked forward to it each time.
Dr. Odmark is a "Gem" and one of a kind. He listens carefully and reacts quickly, giving you his best judgment always. He's always on time and efficient and respects your time as well.
Dr. Sherson (his wife ) is the cream of the crop. You can tell her anything and she gives you a thorough exam and helps to get you motivated. Dr. Gloar (Dr. Sherson's sister) is the latest great addition to the team. Her treatments are so calm and thorough. The whole team is so great!

I had many symptoms since 1993. They included headaches, chest pain (from stress), neck and back muscle pain, numerous food allergies (I could only eat meat and vegetables), depression, discouragement, fatigue, flu-like aches, fibromyalgia, stomach pain, and ultimately a duodenal ulcer that bled and put me in the hospital (I got the ulcer from taking Excedrin (i.e. aspirin) for 6 years non-stop). I tried three different anti¬depressants as well. As time went on I began getting seasonal allergies, which I had never had before. They then often turned into full sinus infections. It got to the point that I felt sick virtually all of the time. August through March was the worst. It got to the point in early 2005 I was getting desperate and was going to move to the U.S. Virgin Islands in the Caribbean in an effort to escape all the allergens.
These problems made it difficult to function properly at work, and when I got home after work I would usually collapse into a chair and rest. It was hard to be available to my family (wife and seven kids). I certainly did not exercise regularly, as it hurt a lot. My entire family suffered.
My wife home schools 3 of our kids, and she had a friend tell her about Dr. Odmark and his NAET treatment for allergies. I checked out the web page and immediately called for an appointment. I had lived at various chiropractors' offices over the years, and they all helped me and kept me functioning, but I could never get well. I did not know what my root problems were. I was, of course, very hopeful that this might work, but on the other hand had been so hopeful and discouraged before that I was cautiously optimistic!
I started the NAET treatments, and I was allergic to virtually everything! Dr. Odmark's NAET treatment is very powerful, especially for skeptics (I am an engineer and am very detail oriented, and can drive people crazy - just ask my wife), since he proves the effectiveness of the treatments right before your eyes. I do not know how many treatments I did, but I have completed virtually every kit Dr. 0 has (I did not get my ovaries checked O). My symptoms improved significantly, even allowing me to eat foods that would have hurt me badly before.
While these treatments helped me a lot, they were not the end-all to my problems. Dr. 0 encouraged me to start NMT treatments, which I did. These treatments were fascinating to me, as it seemed to give Dr. 0 the ability to ask my body what was wrong, and receive feedback. It addressed issues that I really felt were very accurate, and seemed to pinpoint the root issues behind my symptoms. For example, my immune system response kept surfacing as a problem, which made perfect sense. At the same time I started NMT, another home school Mom put me in touch with a Naturopathic Doctor that performed a toxic metal analysis on my body. I showed toxic for copper, aluminum, and calcium. The copper and calcium levels were way off the charts! The N.D. put me on a vitamin regimen that began to chelate these metals from my system. I started both NMT and chelation treatments fairly early in 2007.
When August 2007 arrived, I was really anxious to see how I would fare over the next 7 months_ The previous fall/winter had been my worst ever, with continuous sinus infections (the NAET treatments had not seemed to help the sinus problems). I am very happy to report that I have not been sick a single time this entire fall/winter (I am writing this on 02/25/08). I did have many times when I did have symptoms, especially when cedar was off the charts, but not once did I need to go to a medical doctor. I have not had a single sinus infection, or strep or the flu, or even a cold. I still have some aches and pains here and there, but I am still toxic in copper and aluminum and calcium, and am still being chelated. My amounts have dropped significantly, though. While I cannot absolutely quantify how much NMT is responsible for this vs. the chelation, I personally believe that both are helping immensely. Dr. 0 even gave me an NMT treatment to help my body chelate better without producing the strong symptoms the process was creating. It did help, and I, am very grateful.
Another testimony of an amazing NMT treatment I received had to do with a fear of heights. Ever since I can remember, I have had a fear of heights, but specifically only while standing on a firm structure, such as a building or a bridge. I love flying in airplanes, and have taken flying lessons. I even flew in a glider one time! Flying was not a problem. The fear was very irrational, but very real. I could even get it watching a movie. The symptoms would include a rapid breathing pattern, a warm flush would go through my body, and my hands would sweat and get cold and clammy. I would feel distressed, to say the least, and would take whatever action I needed to take care of myself (such as get away from the window, or focus on the road directly in front of me and not look at the beautiful view. I asked Dr. 0 if he could help me with NMT, and he treated me. That following week I wanted to test his treatment, so I took my wife to the Tower of the Americas restaurant in downtown San Antonio for Valentines dinner (we actually went the night before since they were booked on the 14`s). This restaurant is located at the top of the tower, 750 feet up in the air, and it revolves while you dine. The elevator is a glass elevator, and at the very top, over the restaurant, is an outdoor viewing platform that circles around the tower. As you might imagine, I was going to find out really quick whether the treatment had worked.
Being a committed Christian man, I take my walk with God very seriously, and His Word says "Fear not, for I am with you. Fear not!" I had spiritually fought battles with fear with great, even miraculous success in virtually all other areas of my life (with issues such as fear in relationships, business, walking with God, physical protection, loss of loved ones,
(etc) in the past, but I could never get the physical symptoms of fear of heights not to manifest. It's like my body had a mind of its own, separate and apart from my mind and will. Anyway, with much prayer and resolve, I got in the elevator and purposefully stood close to the window. As we rode up, I did start to get sweaty palms, but it wasn't as bad as before. My legs did not shake, I did not feel as if I had to latch myself onto the back wall of the elevator, nor did I need to pull my wife away from the glass in a near panic. I did look out the entire ride, and did pretty well. We then walked around the outside viewing platform before dinner, and I did OK, The palms were still sweating, and I still manifested some irrational fear, but it was mild. We them went inside and were seated right up against the glass! In the past, that would have freaked me out. It did not this time! I was just fine, we had a wonderful dinner, and we enjoyed the fantastic views of the City as we revolved. At times, I even forgot that I was sitting inches from a 750 foot drop, and just enjoyed being with my wife. I would estimate that about 80% of my symptoms were removed or improved. I think that is pretty amazing! Somehow, Dr. 0 was able to "clear" a lot of that physical fear out of my body.
In closing, I highly recommend Dr. 0 and his staff. Everyone there is very nice, and I feel they really do care about their patients. Dr. 0 has continually impressed me with his commitment to continued learning. He seems to travel to seminars frequently in order to learn new techniques that might help us. He seems genuinely passionate and committed about finding what works, which I find rare amongst the medical profession. Most practitioners seem to have such demanding work schedules that it is very difficult for them to try and stay in touch and up-to-speed with new breakthroughs and technologies. Dr. 0 seems to make that a priority, and I am very grateful that he does. With Dr. 0, I have a confidence that if an answer is available, he will find it. That is invaluable when you are suffering, and help seems so far away. ~David

It was very difficult for me to sit up straight. I had moderate to intense pain from my mid-back and shoulders all the way up into my neck. My back pain made it hard to concentrate in class, and it made it hard to sit for a long period of time at work.
I found out about Lifestyle Chiropractic through my parents. They had been going there for a year. So I immediately gave it a try.
They did x-rays the first day I came in, and then they pin-pointed the area of my back that needed help. It made me feel so much better to know what was wrong with my back and know that it could be fixed!
After they found out what the problem was, they started the treatment for my back immediately. My back has gradually gotten better and I no longer have trouble concentrating in class or sitting for long periods of time at work.

Since about 1975, I have had Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). It would come and go but became gradually worse each episode. I had chronic, severe pain with numbness in the thumb, first and middle fingers of the right hand. There was also chronic, severe pain in the left hand; though to a lesser degree.
In late 1994, I was told that I needed splints (which didn’t help), cortisone injections, and probably surgery. I was unable to write more than 3 or 4 words before the numbness or pain started. Simple things such as holding a fork and brushing my teeth were difficult to do and resulted in pain. I had to stop playing piano, gardening, etc.
CTS interfered in my life in other ways, also. Sleep was always disturbed after 2 or 3 hours by my waking with severe pain and burning. I would have to get up for 30-40 minutes before I could go back to bed. Socially, I felt ‘embarrassed’ about not being able to hold a fork for longer than 30 seconds and I avoided anything that I would need to use a knife on. I became discouraged and at times depressed.
Since beginning treatments at Lifestyle Chiropractic, I am resuming my daily activities – I can spread my fingers much better. At times, I still wake up at night, but the pain had lessened considerably. Last week I played the piano for the first time in months without having to stop after a few seconds! I still have some numbness in my right hand, but my left hand feels almost normal to me.
I most definitely would recommend that anyone with CTS try this treatment with Dr. Odmark before submitting to cortisone injections and/or surgical procedures. My New Year’s resolution on January 1, 2005 was to find help for my aches and pains (my orthopedic doctor had recommended hip replacement); but most especially, I had to find help for my allergies and, of course, my problems with my stomach.
Doctors would look at me and would shake their heads. They were at a loss. However, I was determined to search for alternative means and on one blessed day my dear husband heard Windy Rigby on KENS News mention Lifestyle Chiropractic. We followed through by contacting this office and the rest is blessed history. It had taken me one whole year of searching.
On February 6, 2006 I started my NAET treatments for allergies. I have a list 2 pages long that I was allergic to. I can now eat almost anything without fear of having stomach problems, and can now be around certain smells or environments and not react with headaches and discomfort.
The chiropractic treatments have lessened my pain, especially the back and hip pain. My primary doctor who I now see for routine checkups says, "Stay with it!"
I have had other treatments, which have helped my problems and have made me by far a better and healthier person, less frustrated, less fearful, less depressed. I feel that overall I found a new and better way to deal not only with my health issues but also with my overall outlook on life.

My original symptoms were headaches that occurred 2 – 3 times per week that made me feel very sick and energy-less. I had weight gain, neck pain, stiff and weak hips and knees and I was mildly depressed. I also had carpal tunnel syndrome that would wake me up several times at night with intense burning pain, which created a sleep-deprived state for me. It also seemed that I was catching almost every virus that went around!
With young children and a career, it became tedious, and I was often irritable and just not a lot of fun to be around. I didn’t exercise much because I felt so bad, and even molds and pollens started bothering me a lot.
I was behind in getting settled in our "new" house by several years---it was clean, but not settled and as homey as I would’ve liked. My children began to ask if I was sad, and would say that they wanted to see me smile more.
I found out about Lifestyle Chiropractic from my friends Geoff and Fran Norton in St. Louis, from where we moved to San Antonio . Geoff had met Dr. Odmark in some trainings and highly recommended him. I was eager to see Dr. O and get some help, and because I trusted that the treatments would help me, I wanted to do anything I could to get "me" back!
I’ve had some wonderful chiropractic adjustments, NAET, NMT and NeuroLink, all of which have helped me tremendously. I rarely ever get a headache anymore. I stopped "catching" every virus that came around, I’ve lost weight and I no longer have any neck, leg or hip pain or stiffness. I can walk and stand without becoming fatigued as before. I exercise, laugh, and am generally more cheerful when I’m around my family! My energy is much higher and I sleep restfully. I’m more productive, have more areas of my life in order and I feel excited about just living!
I’m no longer depressed at all and I feel hopeful that I’ll continue to improve as I finish up my programs. Life is good again, everyday!
I encourage anyone even with minor problems, to get help early in their journey as this stuff works so well!

I hate to say this, but most of my adult life my health has spiraled downward at an alarming rate. I’ve suffered with migraines, TMJ problems, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, hypothyroidism, numerous allergies. Infections galore, and chronic pain and exhaustion.
I had become a recluse for 4 years….. it just wasn’t worth the effort to go anywhere
If I did end up going anywhere, it was always out of necessity, never for pleasure. I wear dentures, and could never wear them for long before I would have severe TMJ and neck pain. I was embarrassed for people to see me in the state that I was in.
My grandsons were growing up and I couldn’t enjoy them very much. They’re now 13 and 15, and we’re planning a month long trip to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore! There’s no way I would be doing that if my condition wasn’t so improved!
My husband is very social and I’ve kept him from doing things because he hated going off and leaving me alone. I’ve had to deal with a lot of guilt about ruining so many plans in the past.
I came to hear about Lifestyle Chiropractic from my brother. His friend had been having NAET treatments for severe allergies, and he kept watching her steadily get better and better, and going from a life of living on antibiotics to being well.
There are a lot of things in life that we don’t always understand, but when you’re exhausted and all other avenues have been dead ends and you need help so desperately---well, you have to enter into something new in faith and hope. Since I’m a Christian, I asked through prayer and thanks for the opportunity to receive benefit from the treatments at this clinic.
The drive from Kerrville to San Antonio twice each week was quite an investment on my part. I’ve met many wonderful people at Lifestyle Chiropractic seeking help, and we share our stories and give one another encouragement.
Dr. Gloar has been wonderful in the allergy treatments that she’s given me, she really cares about her patients and she makes you feel so at ease. The ray of sunshine at the reception desk is Lissa, she’s a wonderful, caring friend. Dr. Odmark continues to seek new knowledge and is always looking to have better and better treatment for his patients that need extra care.
Since I continue to improve on a daily basis, I have a new sense of purpose in life. I ENJOY life once again. I’m involved in church activities again, family activities, and I enjoy being with people again. The improvements have helped me to function more than I have been able to in many years.
When you spiral downward as far as I did, it isn’t an overnight miracle. You have to actively participate in your own health care. No doctor can do anything alone. Once new hope is found, the spirit can be renewed with faith for life again.

All of my life I have suffered from allergies. In my youth I had asthma, in college I was diagnosed with arthritis and in my adult life I had continuous sinus infections.
My life was filled with medications and limited activities.
In the late 90’s my family and I had gone on a cruise and listened to an instructor at the ship’s gym talking about nutrition, allergies, and a healthy lifestyle. When my family returned from the cruise we received a flyer from Lifestyle Chiropractic about new treatments for allergies.
I was hooked. I have had NAET treatments for allergies, Field Control Therapy, for the removal of many toxic chemicals from my body, NMT for removal of viruses, bacteria, hormone imbalances, etc, and Neurolink for all kinds of problems.
Every treatment in any area I have received from Lifestyle Chiropractic has been a blessing. After each type of treatment, symptoms are gone within 24 hours to 1 week. Any time I have discomfort lasting several days I call Dr. Dean.
I have gone to traditional physicians and have been prescribed medications for symptoms that Dr. Dean has helped eliminate. I had a blockage in one of my arteries that did show on a traditional test as a slight decrease in blood pressure, which was detected with Field Control Therapy and was removed.

I had been suffering bad sinus allergies for over 10 years. The horrible allergies were getting worse each year, and eventually I developed asthma and dizziness due to chronic sinus & ear infections. During 2006-2007 I was going to doctors on a regular basis. I felt so ill and was on so many medications and antibiotics that I was wondering if I’d ever get well. These sinus allergies were so bad that they were interfering with my work and home life. I was always "sick" and I had no energy!

She asked me to check their website and think about trying this "allergy elimination treatment" they discussed on T.V. since nothing else was working for me. I was very skeptical about chiropractic, but I was desperate! What if I spend all that money and it doesn’t work? I came in early for my consultation just so I could observe people and talk to them about the methods being used. My sister had also come in for chiropractic adjustments. We spoke to a few patients and they all had great things to say about Dr. Odmark, Dr. Gloar, Dr. Sherson and the staff. I spoke to my sister and family, prayed about it , then I decided…why not give it a try?
I began my N.A.E.T. treatments in late January. After about 5 treatments, I began to feel a little more energetic and people around me began to notice how much "bubblier" I was. They complimented me on how much "better" I looked and asked if I was taking new medications…It was then that I realized…WOW! This IS working for me! I AM feeling better and I can do a lot more than I was doing before! I haven’t had a sinus infection, and my sinus pressure and headaches have not been as severe as they used to be! Worth the 6 Hour Drive!
My name is Wylanta Yvonne Dombrowski. I am 42 years old and I live in Gatesville, TX. It is located north of San Antonio next to Waco, TX. I have taken allergy shots since I was 7 years old. I’ve been to nine different allergy clinics since then and each one said I tested out as having the highest testing that ever came thru their facility. In my 20’s and 30’s I at one time was receiving 45 shots a week.
When I previously quit taking shots, I was taking just 6 a week. I was allergic to every test that I was given and from the scale 1 to 4, four being highest, I was a 4 to all except 3 and that was a level 3. To horses I went off the scale; was a 5
I took along with my shots, Allegra D, Zyrtec, Singular, Advir, Albuterol inhaler, and over the counter antihistamines and decongestants, Flonase, and Nighttime Niquil. I have four kids and I am a hair stylist. I was tired all the time and was concerned about my health. I hate medicine because I know it messes up your body.
Then a miracle happened and I found Dr. Odmark at Lifestyle Chiropractic in San Antonio. I now drive twice a week (3 hours one way) to receive the NAET treatments. I stopped all medicine except an Allegra-D every once in a while because I’m still just half through with my treatments. I stopped taking my shots when I heard of these NAET treatments.
I now am a new and different person. I feel great! "Energy plus". It is well worth the driving 6 hours a day to receive these wonderful treatments. I thank God everyday for the NAET and Dr. Odmark. I’ve also taken the NeuroLink treatment in which I’ve gotten rid of many bad things: bacteria, infections and yeast fungus and I’ve lost 12 pounds while taking these treatments. I had glands not working right and many organs not functioning properly. Having energy and my life back was worth it all.
The treatments are totally painless and the office and office workers are very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, you don’t even feel like you’re in a doctor’s office.
I thank everyone whom has contributed to the NAET and NeuroLink treatments. It made a night and day difference in my life. I would have flown to the other side of the world if I had to – to receive these treatments, that’s how much of a difference it has made in my life.
